Amanda, a talented artist who dropped out of art school to care for her dying mother, lives in the shadow of grief following her mother’s passing. When Amanda’s best friend falls ill, she receives an unexpected offer to temporarily step into her friend’s role as assistant to the reclusive entrepreneur Bryan.

What seems like a simple assignment soon turns complicated, as Bryan is a man full of contradictions. At times, he’s reserved, yet also charming and generous. He’s entirely consumed by the biggest deal of his life, while something dark seems to loom over him.
